Team KSA at the World Cup 2017 - Tenerife Island, Spain

Team KSA in pursuit of excellence at the World Cup 2017 a tough assignment indeed!

With some of the athletes reaching the third round in the Kumite section of the event that served as a “warm up” for the Olympic selections, most athletes from around the globe found the event very challenging, especially when pitted in the first round against the top WKF ranked fighters from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Italy and Japan to name a few.

Limpopo Karate Federation Back In Business

History was made on the 23rd September 2017 when 8 members of the Limpopo Karate Federation were sworn into office. The Executive members will look after the affairs of the All Styles Karate WKF Sport in Limpopo Province. The members unopposed and sworn in with the President elect, Henri Eksteen.

The annual Western Cape Government Cultural Affairs and Sports awards took place on Saturday 16 September at the Century City Conference centre, Cape Town. The Awards recognise and officially acknowledge the esteemed excellence of sportspeople hailing from the Western Cape. Ms Anroux Marais, Minister of Cultural Affairs and Sport, was the guest of honour at this prestigious event.

Gauteng's Tiane Showing True Grit

Gauteng’s Dynamic young karate athlete Tiane de Bod, a top prospect who recently won a Gold and Silver medal at the All Africa Games in Cameroon Earlier this year is tipped to win Gold at the World Championships in Tenerife Spain later this year. She was awarded a trophy by African Karate Federation in Cameroon as a top performer. Tiane will be part of the Elite Protea Squad on route to the WKF World Championships.
