Team KSA in pursuit of excellence at the World Cup 2017 a tough assignment indeed!
With some of the athletes reaching the third round in the Kumite section of the event that served as a “warm up” for the Olympic selections, most athletes from around the globe found the event very challenging, especially when pitted in the first round against the top WKF ranked fighters from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Italy and Japan to name a few.
Our athletes need to hang in there and keep “knocking at the door“ as I sincerely believe if some of our athletes are good enough to proceed to the third round then they have the potential to go “all the way“ to the finals.
As President of KSA, I wish to place on record my sincere thanks to the Managers Jonathan and Stacy Duncan, the head coaches Banyane and Brando, who were willingly assisted by Mario Boer, together with a host of others on tour, Lauryn, our official Photographer for the awesome pics and the medical official Angie Williams included.
Best Sporting Regards
Sonny Pillay Hanshi
