History was made on the 23rd September 2017 when 8 members of the Limpopo Karate Federation were sworn into office. The Executive members will look after the affairs of the All Styles Karate WKF Sport in Limpopo Province. The members unopposed and sworn in with the President Elect, Henri Eksteen.
The Limpopo Provincial Sports administrator Mr. Leon Botha commended the team and confirmed with them that it will be in the interest of the team to grow the WKF Sport Karate in the Province. He agreed that the persons who attended the meeting had the interests of the sport of karate at heart. Kruben Pillay and Sydney Hoaeane who headed up this mission, mandated by KSA, to Structure the Province said that this committee will have their work cut out for them. They must remember to keep an open door policy when it comes to new clubs joining, provided they are not dissident.
Sydney Hoaeane said that he is happy to note that the team elected is young and vibrant and prepared to go the extra mile to ensure that this province is back on the map. The first order of business being the hosting of the Limpopo Provincial Karate Championships on WKF Rules, to select a squad for the Karate South Africa National Championships in March next year. The newly elected President Henri Eksteen team was congratulated on behalf of Karate South Africa and projected with the mandate of taking the Province to the next level.
